This small museum is located at No 70, Main Road & Yetwin Road, Sittwe, Rakhine State, Burma which is very ideal for visitors to observe Rakhine Style Buddha images in Myanmar. It has two stories and displays objects of the Rakhine people such as their traditional dress, looms and arts as well as models of stone inscriptions, musical instruments, coins, Buddha images, paintings, and over sixty types of hair-knot. Most Buddha images here are under a meter high with the royal attire. These images mostly originate in the Mrauk Oo period, while a few in the Wethali era. Furthermore, they are made of many materials from bronze, silver, quartz to alabaster. Besides, the museum also exhibit some Indian Buddha images and Hindu deities, a few Thai and Japanese Buddha statues, silver coins from the Mrauk Oo era, clay pipes, terracotta votive tablets and engraved astrological charts.
