The Yangon River or Hlaing River is formed by the confluence of the Pegu and Myitmaka rivers, connecting with the Irrawaddy Delta-known as 'the rice bowl of Asia' through The Twante Canal. Therefore, the river plays a key role in the economy of Myanmar, shown through the fact trade and movement of goods between regions.

Sunrise and sunset are the most ideal moments to see the stunning beauty of the river. From Yangon River, visitors can stop in Twante, where famous for the traditional pottery trade.
