Today, as you start your first flight from Yangon to Myeik, you are about to visit the biggest fishing town in Myeik particularly, and in Myanmar generally. Also, there are many attractive places that definitely are worth your time to spend on such as pearl industry, wooden architecture and local family business. You have a brilliant occasion to witness the most magnificent sunset over the Mergui Archipelago. In the evening, you will visit fish market and pick up fresh fishes on your own for an amazing dinner.

Myeik to Dawei overland

Visit the Shin Mok Hti pagoda, drive through rural villages, visit power plant, stroll around villages, take ferry to Myeik, drop by Paya Gyi museum and Shwe Taung Sar pagoda.
Cruising along on an old ferry to meet Myeik with wonderful photos taken on the way. Before reaching to Shin Mok Hti pagoda, and then going through many rural villages on the way, you will reach to come across humble and friendly local people. You will put steps to power plant in Palaw. Take your time wandering around one of those villages.
Then we leave for Dawei, check in and refresh. Being well known as the capital of Tanintharyi Division, Dawei has the most long-lasting history and picturesque construction in colonial architecture. In the afternoon, you are about to wander around Dawei’s river front to dig in the pace of daily life of the local people. Day ends, you will stop at Dawei’s Paya Gyi museum and Shwe Taung Sar pagoda. There is a valuable collection of bronze coins, vase, portraits and large wooden ancient Buddha images in the museum for you to take a look at.

Witness big industry of cashew nut, rubber, beetle and dried fish, enjoy beach time, catch stunning sunset.
Today, we will spend time on discovering Dawei’s daily activities and its famous sights. We will drop by a local family that runs cashew nut business and get help from them to peel one nut. Later on, we head straight to San Maria beach. Also, do not miss the chance to hit rubber, beetle plantations and fishing villages to see their big industry there. Next up, we enjoy lunch in front of Myawyik pagoda before swimming or wandering along the San Maria beach. On the way back, you will stop at a hot spring to wash salt off. And then reach to Maung Ma Gan beach for having relaxing time, enjoying sunset and standard dinner.

Dawei Peninsula (Soft adventure).
If you are interested of early adventure, you can skip breakfast at hotel to drive through fields and rural villages to hit a typical fishing village, get on a fishing boat and sail the beach. Also, you will take a walk around the village and learn about dried fish business and famous nga pyi (fish paste). You can visit other smaller villages before driving back to Dawei.
After breakfast, take your time to walk around main market and go shopping some souvenir, learn about traditional medicine and use. Making use of your time to step in a tiny clay pottery village nearby and other sites. Take departure flight to Yangon.
