One of the most interesting festivals is Naga New Year Festival which is taken place every January in the remote mountainous area of Naga ethic tribe to pray for a good New Year and harvest. Yangon - Homalin - Leshi (12 Jan 2017)
From Yangon Airport, you take a fly to Homalin via Mandalay. Once landing at Homalin Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by tour guide, and they will lead you to Homalin Jetty. Then we cross the Chindwin River - a main tributary of the Irrawaddy River in the North of Myanmar to go to Htamanthi Village. Lunch will be served on shuttle boat going from Homalin to Htamanthi. Arrive Htamanthi and take 4 wheel vehicle to Leshi village. In the village, we will take time to check-in procedure at Local Houses. We eat dinner and take a rest there.
Today, we will visit the nearby villages of Leshi by trekking to observe the daily life of Naga people. For them, tattooing and dormitories plays a major role in their traditional culture. The information of our lunch will be provided by reception or information counter of Local Traditional House.

Lahe - Naga Ceremonial Pole (14 Jan 2017)
We will start with attending to the Opening ceremony of Naga Traditional New Year exhibitions and ceremony of erecting pennant people.
In this ceremony, we can see the Naga clans in colorful traditional costumes. Besides,we can be free to travel to surrounding villages by car or on foot to explore the lifestyle and culture of the Naga.

Naga traditional New Year festival (15 Jan 2017)
The Naga traditional New Year festival is held annually in January. On this day, the Naga people from different parts of their region gather at one place to celebrate the important festival. Joining in the opening ceremony, tourists can try traditional foods and rice wine with Naga community elders. Naga traditional music performance and dance are performed in front of many local people and tourists during the day. The meaning of their songs and dances at the festival is to pray to good health, wealth, happiness, good climate and good crops for the coming New Year. On the eve of the festival, a bonfire was set. All people cluster around the fire, make traditional dances and give best wishes to others.

Breakfast on Leshi township. Today, we will fly back to Yangon or Mandalay for your departure flight home. Leaving from Leshi to Htamanthi by 4 wheel vehicle. Then take shuttle boat from Htamanthi to Homalin. Lunch will be served at Homalin airport. Finally take departure flight from Homalin back to Yangon or Mandalay. Tour ends.
