Putao Insight

Upon you arrive at Putao Airport, you are transferred to Malikha Lodge for the tour exploring Putao. After lunch at the lodge, we enjoy ourselves in an Elephant Trek through Yegyawdi village and Nam Lang River. Setting off from the Main Lodge, we ride our elephants through the Nam Lang River, which owning a fast flowing clear waters. Sitting on the back of elephants, you will be interested in seeing the beautiful natural views around. Reach to Yegyawdi village downstream along the banks of Nam Lang River. Cross river again back to the logde, and with a prior arrangement, we will watch the mahouts washing and Have dinner at the Malikha Logde.

Stay overnight at Malikha Lodge

Have a great breakfast and prepare for enjoying the full day hiking. Travel through the different tribal villages, including Lisu, Rawang and Shan, you can get an exotic experience with local unique houses, indigenous costume and their other tradition. Sometimes, you may be invited by a local hunter to try out his crossbow by shooting a gun-fodder. Halt at Christian church for a cup of tea, see the Buddhist Stupas and a Shan monastery along the way. Lunch is served as a picnic meal under the shade of bamboo groves. In the afternoon, we continue to travel through further villages and cross the suspension bridge reach to Machanbaw, where you will stop at for an Eski of cool beer before come back to the lodge.

Mulashidi, perhaps is famous by the rafting tour along the Nam Lang and Malikha River. In the morning, we have breakfast and then spend all of remaining time of this day on rafting and boat tour. Temperature is usually low in the morning, so you may be cold at start, but the day warms quickly under the cloudless blue sky. From Mulashidi suspension bridge, we down the Nam Lang and join Malikha River. You will see the abundant birdlife: crested kingfishers, great cormorants flying, while the wild ducks and orange-brown ducks in small groups sometimes floating in the water and sometimes flying overhead in migratory formations. Halt for a picnic lunch and then, continue on boat through forested hills and past white river beaches until reach to Manchanbaw village. Stroll around the village for sightseeing and come back to Malikha Lodge for the sunset.

Breakfast is served at lodge before you get the cultural and traditional exploration. Our guide will take you around Mulashidi village, Putao Valley and view some cottage industries. Discover the local villages, you can see the indigenous people in their daily life, with the different culture and unique costume. Spend a bit of time on Wildlife Conservation Society Museum, and then come to Putao Market for a steaming bowl of Shan noodles, or may take some woven hats and colorful traditional longhis.

In the afternoon, have Bike Adventure tour. Discuss and arrange the routes is very necessary due to many usual routes with the different level of fitness and special interests. During the tour, you can have a chance to catch the natural beauties into your photos, and relax with the fresh air. Back to Lodge at the late afternoon, enjoy hot bath in fabulous teak bathtub, and have dinner.

Have breakfast at the lodge, take a short time of leisure, check out and transfer to Putao Airport where you take the departure flight.
